Privacy information
Updated 29 October 2026. IsToxic helps you reflect on conversations; its AI responses may be wrong and are not a diagnosis or professional advice.
Information you choose to provide
You can import conversation exports, ask questions and select images. Files are read on your device. When you approve analysis, extracted conversation text, selected context and related messages are sent to IsToxic. Images are sent only after separate image consent; processed images and questions may be sent for analysis. Source conversations can include personal information about other people. Please share content only when you have the right to do so.
We also process account identifiers, session information, subscription verification and usage allowances to operate the service. Support requests contain what you choose to enter, their category and language. Please do not put passwords or payment card details in support messages.
How we use and share information
We use approved content to provide reports, citations, conversation history and assistant responses. The currently configured service sends approved content to OpenRouter, which routes it to OpenAI for analysis. These are external processors. Apple and Google process sign-in or purchases when you use those services; their own privacy policies also apply. Their separate retention practices may include security and abuse monitoring. We do not receive your full payment-card details.
Sign-in providers and their software may process diagnostic or usage information, device identifiers, IP address and approximate location as described in their privacy policies.
Storage, deletion and choices
Approved conversations, images and reports are kept on the service until you delete them. You can delete a discussion or relationship, or use Settings โ Delete all my data to request account deletion. Deleting a discussion does not remove shared relationship sources and reports; deleting the relationship removes them. Some irreversible billing and allowance records remain to prevent duplicate transactions and quota resets. Deleting the account does not cancel an App Store subscription; manage it through your Apple account.
Support requests are retained for up to 180 days or until account deletion, with asynchronous removal after expiry. Project database backup snapshots are normally removed 30 days after they were last modified; an hourly cleanup may add up to one hour, and service interruptions can delay removal. A snapshot can contain data deleted after that snapshot was made. Third-party providers may have separate retention and deletion processes.
Consent for conversation and image sharing is requested before content is sent. You can decline; to withdraw and remove stored content use the deletion controls or contact us. Your device may keep an encrypted local cache until deletion or account switch.
